Individual Therapy

At Fitzgerald Therapy, we provide individual therapy for children (aged 4+), teenagers and adults. We know that asking for help can feel like a big step, so our focus is on creating a space where you feel comfortable enough to simply be yourself. Therapy isn't about having all the answers before you arrive. It's about having somewhere safe to begin making sense of what's been happening and working together towards meaningful change.
Our psychologists and counsellors support people experiencing a wide range of concerns, including:
- Anxiety and depression
- School refusal and school-related anxiety
- Emotional regulation difficulties
- Eating disorders and body image concerns
- ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
- Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
- Trauma
- Grief and loss
- Anger management
- Family separation
- Emotional, social and behavioural concerns in children
- Life transitions

No two people experience life in the same way, which is why we don't believe in a one-size fits all approach to therapy. We'll take the time to understand your experiences, your goals and what's important to you before developing a plan together. Some people come to therapy wanting practical strategies they can use straight away. Others are looking for a space to slow down, reflect and better understand themselves. Most people need a little of both.
Our clinicians use evidence-based therapies tailored to your individual needs, but we also know that therapy is about much more than techniques. Feeling understood, building trust and developing a strong therapeutic relationship are often the foundation for meaningful change.
