Assessments

Comprehensive ADHD and Autism Assessments
Our assessment approach
We use a combination of:
- Clinical interviews
- Standardised psychological assessment tools
- Developmental and educational history
- Parent, teacher, and self-report questionnaires
- Behavioural observations
- Review of previous reports and relevant collateral information
This multi-method approach helps ensure that recommendations are based on a comprehensive understanding of how difficulties occur across different settings and stages of life.

What does the assessment process usually involve?
The Assessment Process
Session 1 (2 hours)
An initial consultation focused on developing a comprehensive understanding of your background, including developmental, social, educational, and medical history, as well as your current concerns and overall mental health. This session helps guide the assessment process and determine which assessment measures are most appropriate for you or your child’s individual circumstances.
Session 2 (2 hours)
Administration of relevant assessment measures specific to the presenting concern, ADHD and/or Autism/or both.
Session 3 (3 - 5 hours)
The clinician, in their own time, will review assessment outcomes, score and interpret questionnaires, review and integrate any relevant prior reports received, and prepare a comprehensive report.
Session 4 (1 hour)
A feedback session will be scheduled to discuss assessment findings, diagnostic information, recommendations, and relevant strategies and support if appropriate.
What you will receive
Following your assessment, you will receive clear verbal feedback and a written report outlining the assessment findings, diagnostic formulation, strengths, and personalised recommendations for school, work, daily functioning, and ongoing support.
Fees:
Approximate fee: $1500 - $1900
Combined ADHD and Autism Assessments
Because ADHD and Autism frequently occur together, we also offer combined assessments for individuals where both conditions are being explored.
A combined assessment integrates both ADHD and Autism assessment procedures into one comprehensive process, reducing duplication and providing a detailed understanding of neurodevelopmental functioning.
Approximate fee: $2,200-$2,800
Our assessment philosophy
We understand that seeking an assessment can feel overwhelming. Many clients come to us after years of feeling misunderstood, exhausted, or unsure why things have always seemed harder than they appear for others.
Our goal is not simply to determine whether diagnostic criteria are met. We aim to understand:
- How your brain works
- What has been difficult
- What has helped
- What strengths you bring
- What supports may improve quality of life
Our assessments are collaborative, respectful, and focused on helping individuals and families move forward with greater clarity and confidence.
